A combination of corrosion resisting, cast aluminum housing and fabricated steel supports provide extra strength and flexibility.
Because all housing parts, which come in contact with contaminated air or gas, are constructed of cast aluminum, these fans are used successfully to handle corrosive vapors. Where the concentration is low, the standard design is satisfactory. Where heavier concentrations are encountered, the unit is readily adaptable for the application of protective coasting and special paints. To meet the severe requirements, components can be fabricated from special materials including fibreglass or the interior of the fan may be rubber covered.
Where the handling of hard, gritty abrasive material is involved (as in grinding wheel exhaust systems, material conveying systems and in the foundry and steel industries) the rugged construction and design of the Volume Fan provide long, trouble-free service. Pressure and volume characterizes are more than adequate to handle the requirements usually encountered in this type of work.
